Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2019)

Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

What we’ve got here is an imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolates, then cave-aged in oak bourbon barrels for an entire year to make sure wonderful bourbon undertones come through in the finish. Makes your taste buds squeal with delight.

Lagrad över 5 år. Fortfarande kaffe med bourbonton. Otroligt… Rejält fadd smak, men finns ändå där. Mer grön paprika i kaffet, men även mörk choklad och uns av bourbon. Sista flaskan, uppenbarligen.

4/4 pack born 02.04.19. Had 3/4 April ‘20. This is holding but drink now, no aging left. As this ages, the booziness out paces the flavors. Only hint of chocolate w/ booze. As I’ve been learning & posting - drink all KBS fresh. Do NOT age, no reward!

Coffee upfront w/ slight acidity. Oak barrels coming through. Bourbon aged heat. Enjoying a vertical shared by Nick B.

This one just missed something. Not has choclaty, not much coffee. Still good. Here's hoping 2020 is better.

Had a big one of this tonight with Thanksgiving dinner. Not the best barrel-aged stout I’ve had, but a touch better after aging for almost two years. Great night with my peeps.

Bottled on Feb. 5,2019. Consumed on Dec. 24,2020. This stout is okay. A bit stronger on the coffee taste this time around. Enjoyed Silver City’s BBAged Old Scrooge barleywine more than this one.
