After nearly five years in the cellar it is almost dead flat - not a bad thing tho. Without the CO² bite, it really lets the barrel flavors come thru. Good beer.

Zo diep en donker zie ik ze maar zelden .. super diepe smaak van koffie en kersen .. en toch een zachte nasmaak. Zeer smakelijk !

Hops more mellow. Less round. A surprising sweetness in the finish not obvious in the others.

A bit more coffee and chocolate than the 2017, a bit less bourbon. Somehow feels thicker on the palate.

Five years might be too long for this beer. Booze and barrel are the main flavors on the palate, though there are some dark fruit flavors (date, mostly) coming through. Thin body.

VErY nice stout, their maple-flavoured one is just a tad better.

Has definitely fallen off. No chocolate anymore. Just some bitter coffee flavor. Any barrel it had is also gone. It’s not bad, just not as good as it once was.

18-3-5, 6yr o. Creamy chocolate and medium roast coffee. Spicy. Notes of bitter vanilla and rich molasses. Still got some barrel fire, even after all these years. Good one.
