Back in 2018 this was a banger but in this crazy beer world of 2021, it just doesn’t quite stand up. Still a solid brew just doesn’t blow my mind like it once did

Bottled 02/18 Not sure if it's the red onion lingering flavor from my burger or if it's oxidized, but this is off. Likely both. Past it's prime.

Dejlig øl, men samtidig også en skuffelse ift 2016 versionen. Har ikke samme fylde, og virker heller ikke lige så rundt og blød som den tidligere udgave.

Less enjoyable than the 2017 bottle last night. Roasty hoppy and coffee forward. Not as smooth and rich as 17.

Chocolate, roasted malts, booze on the nose. Thick, malty, sweet, notes of bourbon, oak, and vanilla. Has a dry, bitter as boozy finish. Notes of dark chocolate and bitter coffee.

A little thin, booze is just bearable, carbonation is full on, stored perfectly, no barrel presence or even a hint of bourbon. Bit disappointed tbh

Smells better than my Fremont B-Bomb, but flavor is a bit harsher….not bad coffee flavors though 👌🏻

Aromas of oak, licorice, dark chocolate, leather, vanilla, bourbon. Light palate, coffee roast is still prominent but somewhat oxidized. Getting some good bakers chocolate but the barrel character has fallen off leaving a hot, syrupy bourbon note and oak

Definite barrel character. Not nearly as smooth as I would prefer. Tasty big beer but not exceptional.

The flavors are incredibly mellow after it's been aged 3 years. There's no way this is 12%! Slight bourbon hint but really mild.
