LCI the winner of the 3, shows these are best fresh, not that they are bad older, just the sweet very shines more fresh
about 1 year ago
LCI another 5, two that's right in handing them out like tic tacs. This was almost the winner of the night too tbh, was blown away by how good rhubarb lambic could be. Have 2 bottles in the cellar and I'm looking forward to drinking them

LCI at the start of the night I would have said this would be the winner, but surprisingly it finished in 4th and even the Vignerrone was only a whisker behind it. We all agreed probably a bit to aggressively sharp, I liked the vanilla, others not so much

LCI really really good and a nice come back down from the intensity of magic. Lighter, more subtle and simply beautiful

LCI finished with the rose vertical, 3 years all similar but different, a cool little experiment. This was the least raspberry but was still quite sweet.

LCI I have this 4.75 last time but I've had many better cantillon since. Still incredible but it is a bit to acidic and sharp which takes aways from the lively raspberry. After a few sips it starts to shine but initial sip is intense

LCI woah baby we stayed strong, sweet, smooth, honey like, the winner of the night but not the only 5. Some amazing beers that is happily drink again and again
about 1 year ago
LCI surprised that this was the weakest of the big 6 we did, amazing beer nonetheless but just didn't quite hit the spot like the others.

LCI this was spectacular, a close second for me for the night, light and a bit more delicate than most of the others but everything was beautifully balanced. Delightful drop!

Dusty aged cherry and lots of acid, not much bright fruit and quite oaky.
A muted cherry flavour, with a bit of an abnormal funk on the back end.

LCI oh boy that is my sort of thing, sweetness balanced out with a sharp acidity, lovely beer and very happy I have one tucked away in the cellar for a rainy day

Extraordinarily intense, sour and complex. Still very young, but one of the best beers I've had

Oaty enough for a decent breakfast. Could’ve used a bit more “oompf” on the nose.

Like always Lorenz being way too generous. Nice little taste before having to head home.

Bottled February 2023. Tastes it to. Fresh AF and delicious as always!

LCI well it's nice to get a solid little taste of this just because you always spend too much money here. Absolutely brilliant lambic

Bursting with fresh and jammy raspberry. Easy to see why this is a classic. LCI

LCI fuck me the fruity raspberry goodness was to die for, had to make sure i didn't knock this down too quickly

Woody and thick with green apple and a hint of fennel, less punchy and sour than other vats in the series.

Gone to god. It’s just ash now. It all made sense once we realized it was the 2009.

LCI first time having this on tap, delightful as always

LCI Solid hazy in between all the sour

LCI another I have a bottle of in the cellar, this was good but many think week age beautifully so it'll be interesting to try it in a few years time

LCI is had this before (a whole bottle to myself) and thought his not great, was more enjoyable the second time. I've got a bottle tucked away in the cellar, see how it ages

LCI I've had different years of kriek and different ages. The oldest and definitely the best iteration I've had. Cherry is so prominent and not too drying like the other versions of the kriek I've had. Spectacular, top 3 of the master-class.

LCI was good but maybe it wasn't quite stout time cause I struggled to really enjoy this
over 3 years ago
Whiskey coffee and heavy malt. Had this from the tap and it’s so much better. This is disappointingly green. Needs another 5 years I reckon.

Funky looking, sour nose. Smooth front, big funky bite and tart finish. Like a strong funky orange juice.
The absence of a third year lambic in this does it no harm. Horse blanket, old oranges and a bit of slate. Not overly though provoking but that’s not a bad thing. Missed the batch number though…
over 3 years ago
Edgier than I would’ve expected, nice woodiness though
over 3 years ago
Surprisingly sharp for a 5 year old bottle, super dense wood is prominent.

LCI. Big guns coming out early. Massive funky aroma. Plenty of funk and bracingly sour, it finishes very dry. The fruity floral elements round it out nicely.

Wow the aroma was huge yet delicate on the palette. Fruity, funky delicious. Nice purchase Mark T.!

Quite a bit thinner than I recall previous editions much thicker 🤷🏼♂️

Equal best beer of the odd the double Dutch rudder

Thick molasses, coffee, sweet vanilla bourbon, no astringency.

Seemed a bit boozer than the 2017, still cracking though
almost 4 years ago
Definitely thinner than the previous 2, coffee for days though

LCI got the KBS flight at DTC but they'd sold out of the 2016. Coffee for days in these 3 beers, all similar but slight differences. This was my favourite of the 3

Bourbon upfront coffee behind, not as smooth as 2017or 16. No complaints tho😉

No oak still heavy coffee which is smooth.
