Enjoyed the 2018 KBS tonight. Very smooth, the bourbon taste is reserved and subtle. A very enjoyable beer.

Barrel faded a bit over the years. Chocolate>coffee. No tobacco notes like BCBS. Generally find it on the less oak flavored side even fresh.

That maple hits your nose before you even get near the stack of pancakes… I mean the beer! Definite cacao and cocoa, just rich and boozy! Delicious again, as usual!

Old engine oil consistency. Huge bourbon barrel, Dark choc. Late coffee. Awesome stout.

This beer is phenomenal. Just because you can get it on shelves 24/7 now (well, not 2018) doesn’t mean it’s not awesome. Cheers to a long day and some relaxation

A bit more bitter than I was expecting, maybe from the coffee notes aging a bit more. Dark chocolate is still present though less so. Didn’t taste any sweetness. Bottled on 03.06.18. Late checkin.

Solid af. Zero green pepper. Loads of chocolate. Tempted to give it 4.5 but I just can’t bring myself to since it’s such a shelfie. Call it a 4.3 and one of the better values in beer.
