KBS - Chocolate Espresso Broady
Like a standard KBS just turned up to max... Already well balanced. Probably need to drink these fresh or the espresso is going to fall out.

Huh, this can is actually pretty decent. Bitter citrus peel and papaya. Better aroma and more acidic than the first try.

Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) (2023) Broady
Nice maple and oak. A bit sharp initially but opens up to chocolate and coffee notes.

KBS Spicy Chocolate (2023) Broady
Definitely could use a bit more spice. Not much capsaicin, but there's a nice pepper flavor.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2022) Broady
Fudge, maple, cocoa, coffee. All the sweetness is gone. Much more subtle and balanced.

Utopias Barrel - Aged World Wide Stout (2021) Broady
The best stout aged in a great port barrel except the port is just a crazy good strong ale age in port and wine barrels. Thanks Tony! Owe you for this one.

I wish vanilla was more consistent. Aged too long. Vanilla is harsh and artificial now. Thanks Andy.

Mostly chocolate, hint of cherry on the finish. Nice oak note. Very well done, no cough syrup cherry. A bit more cherry would be nice.

That's is quite tasty. Nicely balanced orange and cherry. Stinger bourbon notes would be nice.

Really good tripel. Not sure the agave is contributing anything. Maybe a hint of citrus.

Didn't quite fall off a cliff but rolled down a large hill. Thinned out quite a bit. Still has good espresso but that's it. Still enjoyable.

Lots of hazelnut, probably too much. Works about as well as expected.

Dark chocolate. Really well balanced. Not much coffee.

That still has a ton of the original character. Dry, bitter, astringent. Cocoa and coffee on the front. Little bit of cherry and raisins.

Still too much raspberry syrup, but it is starting to attenuate the Belgian character is starting to come through.

Sweet, solid coffee and cocoa. Not much bourbon or barrel. Maybe could of done without the extra sweetener.

Heavy cinnamon and vanilla, mild coffee. Maybe needs some more time. Still thinking it's not very KBS like.

Silky cocoa, a little espresso still left. Bourbon is buried. Still a little alcohol burn, and a bit of bourbon. Somehow the espresso is mostly gone and it still improved with age.

Still excellent but has lost a little something going to regular production. Drier and subtle oak. Fresh still getting good coffee and chocolate.

Toffee, caramel and bourbon notes. Heavy body with oak on the finish. Founders makes some of the best regular production barrel aged beers.

Lime, salt, agave, tequila, earthy notes. Best margarita you can get in a bottle.

Overly hopped, not quite right for a barley wine. Good malt back but not enough. Still enjoying it but just want more cramelly maltiness.

A little harsh, but still really like the mix of flavors. Maple is pretty subtle.

Raspberry balance is better now. More cocoa. Age has helped still a tad too much raspberry.
