För 5,5 år sedan satte jag 1,0 i betyg på den här så jag har sett fram emot att testa den igen nu när man mer uppskattar fatlagring. Visst är den lite söt o alkoholig som jag sa då men bourbon faten ger en väldigt fin smak i övrigt. Lite mer beska tack!

Yeah, you get the Scotch aroma on the front end and malty richness throughout! This is not for the faint of heart!!!!

1 for now, 3 for the cellar. What a wonderful sipper. Lots of layers of flavor without being too sweet like a lot of barrel aged beers. Just right.

Sitting here enjoying a Bastard and mentally preparing for an unwanted visit from Laura, due to arrive tomorrow night. Gulf Shores and points west got lucky with the visit from Marco. Maybe we will too.

What more could you want from one of the most accessible wee heavy/Scottish ales. Nice malt, and oak barrel presence.

Backwoods Bastard in the backyard. This is awefully good. Road trip tomorrow to Haggen's to buy what's left. Will resell at an inflated price or share!

May not be in the backwoods yet however I'm headed there. And the other part...well I'll let others decide. Good but will be even better aged longer.
