Very good this would be great on a cold winters night in front of a fire! But I settled for a hot summer night during a thunderstorm! Still awesome

Freshly bottled a couple weeks ago and tasting great as always. This has become a go-to beer for me. It’s constantly great, full barrel, oak, caramel and sugar flavors. Also reasonably priced. When I want an evening bourbon barrel sipper, this does it.

Sitting here enjoying a Bastard and mentally preparing for an unwanted visit from Laura, due to arrive tomorrow night. Gulf Shores and points west got lucky with the visit from Marco. Maybe we will too.

Alcohol and bourbon subtle, but wait a minute and it hits you. (I think my BP is low.) Goes well with my oatmeal and honey and eggs. Bottle indicates packaged July 2020.

Over the years, I'm loving this more and more. Their barrel aging truly takes out everything i don't like about scotch ale. Now it's smooth and strong. Very crushable. Thanks Kevin K. ! Almost bought another single in Wisconsin for ~$4. Should have!

I could swear this Bastard was brewed specialy for me. Promising aroma of caramel and whisky. Tastewise a near perfect balance of caramel, single malt, bourbon barrel oak, fig and roasted malt bitterness that almost leaves me speechless. Beware of the ABV

Prolly my all time favorite BA Scotch Ale, although BA Sheep in the Grass is right there too. Had to have it in the glass too! Yummy!

Dark brown pour. Boozy sweet aroma and flavor. Well balanced in the finish.

God I LOVE this beer! Does Founders even make a bad beer! Any friends out there ever been to this brewery? Definitely a bucket list trip for me!
