As I’m about to finish this bottle, I turned to Untappd to upgrade whatever insufficient grade I had given the beer in the past. Oh, 4.5. Yeah, that’s accurate. Just so smooth, roasty, boozy and just sweet enough to feel indulgent.

After opening you literally smell the coffee, as if it is a cold espresso! Love that! Surprisingly light brown ale, with caramel, chocolate undertones and a nice bourbon cask twang. Slightly more coffee than the 2019, as I remember.

Wonderful Imperial Brown Ale with an intense roasty coffee note, some taste of nuts. Very strong alcoholic note but also very tasty. 👍 🍻 🇺🇸

Coffee and chocolate nose. Smooth brown ale with coffee. Delicious.

Long day + 11.9% = giddiness. Don’t think cellaring this would benefit it. Great depth of coffee and bourbon. Only thing missing would be a cinnamon encrusted rim on the glass.

Wow! That's really good. Not too syrup-y like some other bourbon barrel brews I've had. Very well balanced. Like all things in this universe should be.
