All I got was more coffee and didn’t get enough maple nor chocolate. Apparently chef’s palette is different than mine. What a let down based on expectations. Tua Tagovailoa (2020).

The velvety body is still there, but the chocolatey, fudgy character is so overwhelming that this doesn’t taste anything like classic KBS, even as it’s still a damn tasty beer.

As average rating shows, my preference is also original KBS. Maple version is too sweet and boozy to me. This feeling was same between original and maple version of Decontrol brewed by Zagovor.

LCI. Zoet, zacht, romig, vol, licht pure chocolade, caramel, beetje tiramisu associatie, heel licht koffie ook, klein bittertje in de nasmaak. Had eat minder zoet gemogen wat mij betreft. Beetje pastry stout nu.

A chocolaty maple dessert treat. So easy drinking. The barrel is laid back but ever present.

WOOOO!! Hella great aroma of sweet and thick fudge! The mouthfeel is surprisingly light considering the style and aroma, which affects it I think. You still get all that chocolate goodness with a hint of oak and some bourbon. Too easy to drink at 11%.
