Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

Michigan didn't invent old-fashioned fudge, but it was perfected here. We pay tribute to this time-honored tradition with KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge. By amplifying the rich chocolate notes of KBS using Mackinac Fudge coffee, then adding maple syrup and aging it in oak bourbon barrels, we've created a bold new take on our barrel-aged classic - one that could only have originated in Michigan.

Oh man! This is a winner! Packed with flavor! Nothing thin about this stout. Strong coffee and chocolate that work well together. Fortunately, not too sweet (like it's cousin CBS -though it is definitely a sipping dessert beer). Can't give it a 5.0.

This is it! The whole reason why I came to Founders in the first place! Needless to say I was not let down. This ultra rich beverage has the aromas resembling closing your eyes in a small town fudge store taking in a deep inhale. 11% but a non-factor.
