Aroma of oak, vanilla, bourbon, booze, and brown sugar. Taste does not disappoint with citrus hops followed by vanilla, coconut, maple syrup, and toffee. Surprisingly moderate alcohol warming considering the high ABV of 12.7%. An outstanding old ale!

Deep storage selection! 2018 and the past two years did this well! The booziness smoothed out and the maple shines.

2018 vintage, given to catie from her in-laws for her wedding...but she was kind enough to share with me for my 30th birthday! So I’m drinking to celebrate my first day back in the office after 5 months of work from home.

Really good. Def get the molasses and it makes it smooth with a little sweetness. For sure boozy.

Tasty and complex Tan colour low carbonation Bourbon molasses and caramel on nose Buttery syrup mouthfeel Caramel dark fruits and prune with strong molasses and bourbon flavour Hints of tobacco & Turkish coffee A hint of spice to finish. Deserves Respect.

This beer was refrigerated since the day I got it and no oxidation. Maple syrup flavor is no longer but bourbon and molasses are there. Not a big fan of the flavor but it’s drinkable.

Another founders incredible bourbon barrel aged beer! The molasses and maple syrup are balanced perfectly

This beer is insanely good. The best Old Ale I have had. A little sweetness makes it super drinkable with the bourbon boozy notes. Mmm.
