For 12.7% its real smooth, bourbon/boozy taste with molasses. Maybe not the best weather to drink. Would be great in winter.

Harsh boozy flavor and not blended well w molasses and maple syrup. Just not smooth.

3 years old now and I think at its peak. Was too sweet fresh, and now it's finally balanced. Bourbon is there still. Great beer.

Found the stash of "import beer glassware" originally from Checkers Lounge. (Didn't realize tempered glass was so worth the extra expense, so not many have survived!) Could NOT find the churchkeys, so it's a good thing Mr Perky stepped up to fill the gap

Closing in on 3 years old - rich, sweet - bourbon, caramely maple, a touch of leather. Absolutely great.

Cellared bottle from 2013. Zero complaints. Amazing brew.

August 2018 dated bottle. Sweet, rich, a little malty with a warm smooth finish of bourbon and maple notes. One of the best cellar aged brews I've had in a while.

Like a barleywine with less sweetness. Assume because of the flavor profile of molasses.

Overwhelmingly sweet and strong bourbon flavors. Thick creamy consistency. Not my style.
