Not a wax sealed bottle, so best to crack this at 6 years old. Been a while since I’ve had this one, so cannot compare how it’s aged. But booze is not strong, it’s very sweet and pairs well with the holiday spirit. Merry Christmas all 🍻 🎄 🧑🎄

Quite possibly the oldest beer I’ve ever had and I have no doubts that it held very well over the years. Still so delicious, my favorite beer all time (tied with maybe a few others)

Absolutely fucking delicious. Loads of maple and tobaccoie goodness. Warm bourbon finish of vanilla and oak.

Somehow seems mellowed out and intensified at the same time. The coffee is more up front and the maple has some added molasses notes but the sweeter notes are also lighter and almost fruitier so it doesn't drink heavy at all

2017 and 2018 share both deliciously boozy with chocolate, coffee, and maple sweetness - creamy full; sweet without being cloying.

I'm actually going to disagree with my last check-in. The 3yrs age really helped the complexity shine through, and the beer tastes as great as I remember it used to taste. Chocolate, milk, coffee, maple, bourbon, oatmeal. Smooth.

Final one from a six grab. Turning softer and less expressive now, I think I was right not saving this longer. Even if it’s missing a bit of the dynamic impact, the score stands since it’s still a lovely beer, albeit more elegant. Bye bye 2017 😢
