Screw 2020 beer 4ish. Oily, bourbony, sweet, chocolate peaks, but something not quite 'on' for me

So maybe I left it one year too many? No maple to speak of. Coffee and bourbon survives, but mellow. Not syrupy, but not bad either. I think I would have liked it best 8-12 months ago.

Actually not as good aged...u don't get the maple sweetness anymore so it's pretty much a normal barrel aged stout :/

From the cellar; maple has started to fade, but coffee and barrel still present.

Really nice smooth stout, little to no bourbon or maple syrup now just sweet sugary stout. Thanks Uncle Bill!

Upfront sweet maple crystallized sugar, but still a very good coffee stout with subtle barrel warmth

My 11th and likely my last check in for the 2017 version. I loved this fresh but it's definitely declined. It's better than the last time I had it, it has some chocolate and maple and a bit of soy. And this may be my last Founders check in ever!
