Six years later, this beer is perfect. It was way too sweet at first, but it’s really become what it was meant to be.

A great stout with terrific coffee, chocolate, and maple. Not syrupy. Smooth finish.

Super flavorful. Lots of maple flavor. Thicker than a normal bourbon barrel stout. Would definitely have again.

From the pre-pastry stout era. This has held up so damn well. Almost done off as a regular BA non-adjunct stout of the current day since they trend a bit sweet. Coffee, light maple sweetness, dark chocolate, bourbon, smooth, medium body, light carb

Big whack of chocolate. Funnily enough, not getting coffee. Notes of dried fruits. Sweet maple. Umami notes with the slightest hint of salt. Very complex, more so than I can actually recall. Suffice to say, it was delicious. LCI. Nightcap from last night

Opaque black with creamy tan head & outstanding lacing. Dark-chocolate nose & taste; add maple & smoky umami flavors. It is rich with excellent mouthfeel. Andy T. trying a classic from The Mitten.
