KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020)

Stout - Imperial / Double

Michigan didn't invent old-fashioned fudge, but it was perfected here. We pay tribute to this time-honored tradition with KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge. By amplifying the rich chocolate notes of KBS using Mackinac Fudge coffee, then adding maple syrup and aging it in oak bourbon barrels, we've created a bold new take on our barrel-aged classic - one that could only have originated in Michigan.

Fyllig, choklad, fudge. Nästan som chokladkolan jag gör till jul ibland.

Kahvia, suklaata, toffeeta ja paahteista pähkinää. Runsas makumaailma toistaa aromimaailman tarjonnan, mutta ei mene äiteläksi.

Held onto one and figured 1 year and 11 months was a good amount of time. All chocolate. The maple and bourbon have totally faded but still enjoyed it.

Røsta malt, kaffe, karamell, sjokolade. Smooth, men mangler en touch av kompleksitet.

Plenty of fudge, not a ton of maple but still a solid brew!

Nice night for an imperial stout. Couple left so might as well make room for this year’s release. The only kbs that’s still legit imo.

Last one from 2020. Let’s hope it aged well.

One of the selected beers I brought with me when I moved back to LA…worth it. I just wish the maple was stronger.

Still really good. Can't say it has aged to something better, but definitely not something bad.

☕🥃 Nice yummy brown head on service, smooth feel, not thick, as all the KBS series, but still tasty, loads of roasted coffee ☕, dry dark & bitter chocolate 🍫, bourbon barrel and charred notes, a tad sweetness with pleasant booze finish 🥃 All good 👌

Pretty good. Don't get a ton of barrel, but it is sweet and the maple syrup is nice. Kinda thin though. Thanks Kelly C.
