This is a really, really good beer. If it was just a chocolate coffe stout it would be a 4.5, but being that it is barrel aged, I need more bourbon. Great mouth feel, though.

Aroma is all melted chocolate. I get maple sweetness and a bit of the barrel, but to me, the rich fudge flavor stands out the most. Another great take on one of my personal favorites!

Fortunate to find! Thanks Joshua K. at HABR on YT. Very chocolaty, covers the coffee and bourbon to some degree. Its smooth, and more thin than I expected. Definitely the higher ABV makes me flush. Honestly, I wanted Maple to really take the wheel more.

FLN. Pours with a dark brown head, strong aroma of maple and literal fudge. Tastes like a rich chocolate milk and continues with fudge. Maple is mild, which I prefer. No extract here IMO. Very rich. Enjoyable. Think I prefer Espresso a bit more.

Smell chocolate fudge coffee. Taste dark roast bitter coffee cream then chocolate fudge boozy. Maple??? Not as smooth as other Founders dark beers I’ve had but that seems to be the norm lately. Age will likely smooth this out. Gonna sit on a few.

Roasty smell, tastes of chocolate fudge, coffee and slight maple. They seemed to make all these flavors come through without being overly sweet. And smooth as hell.
