Think this guy peaked a couple of years ago, but it's still enjoyable

My last one of the four pack went out in style, founders just just sell these things at 4 years old and I'd buy them

Ett par år efter bäst före datum men inte smakar den illa. Sötma som bonsbons och sedan kommer lite lakrits

Interesting style of beer. Molasses and oak aged Old ale. I need to drink a few to decide yay or nay. Very good for a change of flavor.

Lots of old school flavors. Figs +or raisins. Some bitterness but also sweetness from the molasses. Flavor intensifies as it warms. Glad I got a crowler and was relatively inexpensive. Enjoying the shit out of this.

Held up surprisingly well in the keg. Upfront molasses and then fig/toffee and a slightly bitter finish.

I am not sure my beer cellar is doing the trick, taste okay with age.

Lagrad sedan 2016, tappat kolsyra och blivit lite platt.

Classic aged old age. Right out of the cellar temp. Malted, dry oak with slight dark cocoa finish

Not much to compare too as this 5 yr aged Old Ale is my first go round with the Curmudgeon. Wish I snagged enough to try at the 1 & 2 yr marks. Bitterness still lingers even with malt on the main stage. A toffee figgy pudding. Thick body with mellow booze

I hate breaking into my cellar like this, but oh my god this stuff is so piquant and delicious. This world needs more Old Ales…

Old ales even older. Not bad a lil oxidized. Molasses held up more prominent.

Har blivit en helt annan skapelse efter typ fem-sex år. Betydligt mjukare och följsamt lenare. Ingen av Founders bättre om ni frågar mig.
