I taste coconut which I don’t like. Still not bad barrel age is good but just ok.

Took almost two months to get through a 4-pack. Well balanced - not too sweet, barrel doesn't overpower, good roast, slightly prickly - but it fails to excite. Once warmed the individual flavors are easy to pick out and enjoy. 4-4.25

Meh...smells like there will be a lot of maple and bourbon. Really just tastes like a heavily roasted Porter with a splash bourbon that kind of bites at the end.

Very sweet. If it had been a tad bit more bitter it would've been perfect. Great job Founders!

Roasted malty aromas, toasted caramel and espresso. Light delicate entrance, with the maple covering slightly the rye malty cereal body. Vanilla is the biggest adjunct adding a smooth silky finish, but this is still fairly light. Bourbon? Very light.

Full of flavor. It could use more bourbon flavor in my opinion, but it's still a great brew.

Excellent vanilla hit in this one all the way to the finish.

Does this brewery make a so so beer? If they do, I haven't found it. This porter is smooth and crisp. The maple and vanilla hints are just right. And the bourbon barrel is the crowning touch.
