One of the best beers ever made. Also one of the first that made me fall in love with craft beer.

Ik let er niet vaak op maar dit bier heeft een hele mooie kleur. Tussen donkerrode crimson en bruin in maar nog wel helder. De smaak doet er ook niet aan af, heel vol en warm, houttonen en de bourbon mooi aanwezig.

This is solid, and a lot more interesting that the non-BA bastard. Honey, dark fruits and a big whisky hit. You can feel the booze in there but it goes down so smoothly that it doesn't really matter.

Apres ski, for the last time this season from the looks of it today. Might as well have a great beer to celebrate an almost normal season (but lacking snow/cold weather) after very few outings a season ago.

Barrel aged Scotch ale is an obvious great idea but not that many I know of. For my money, this is the very best beer Founders releases. Bourbon barrel is nicely complimentary without overpowering. Also nicely done to be Scotch whisky inspired not replica

Not bad, but less barrel and more scotch ale this year to me. But still pretty good.

Looks like I got the hat wrong but the beard’s okay….. Super full bodied, BBA stout, tasty!!! Sitting around the fire, lost my dad today. No longer in pain but will miss him for sure. Love ya dad!!!

Been enjoying since 2012 when 1st intro to B’ham as a BA @ our Magic City Brew Fest. Once I had it, told all my friends to meet me over @ the tent & that was all I would drink the remainder of the fest 😁! An amazing oaky Wee Heavy (old ale 🙄) each year.
