Oh so smoky, roasty hoppy and boozy. I would like to drink 3 more of these but I prefer to be conscious. So damn good

Circa 1997. Hop forward - perfumery pine sap; intense malt character - caramel/molasses; a delight.

This would be even better with some aging.

Bottled 3.9.21: A rich, red brown body with a bit of a slightly boozy-sharp nose. Elements of some earthy-woody tones too. Mild malt & big hop and bitter bite right up front. Not a resinous hop based ending, but definitely not my cup of tea here.

Not as alcholly as I thought it would for a barleywine

Boozy with odd notes of fermented and sour stone fruits. Think I needed to drink this one fresh.

Big and hoppy. Reminds a little of Behemoth. According to my husband, it's not hoppy at all and is more like English barleywine. I think he's on crack.

She’s got legs, knows how to use ‘em. Barley/saison with smokiness and fruitiness.

Very good beer. Thank you William the Dr B. I know the score is worth much higher but tonight I’m working on my bell curve. 😂 Everything tonight gets a 3.25, unless it’s a Boulevard Brewing Co Ginger Lemon Radler, I’ll go against tonight’s rule with 0.25

Great hop bitterness and flavor with almost a molasses sweetness! A lil caramel in there too. Great first beer to try out the new glass!

Definitely has that barleywine taste but isn't super sweet or syrupy. Not bad.

That’s a strong one. Much more bitter and dry on the finish than I expected. Strong, yet not strongly flavored.

More hoppy than sweet. Tastes more DIPA than barleywine.

The piney aspect actually comes across more pithy and dry. Slight hop fruit underneath the malt. Curious as to how this would age.

Beetje raar bier. Niet helemaal duidelijk wat het nou is. Beetje een hybrid Barley wine x DIPA. Heb betere gehad van Founders.

Barley wine? Roasty + hoppy + malty = NOT what I was expecting. But I don’t hate it.
