Sehr malzig, fast schon Malzbonbon, recht hopfig-bitter, kräftig, starker Alkohol.

Late check in. Bottled 3.8.21, much better with some age on it. Not as spice forward, dropped that strong ale/scotch ale hybrid thing I got fresh. Maintains a hop profile but leans a little more with sweet caramel tones Cleaning out the cellar continues!

Прикольный барлик, аля биг фут от Сьеры, но всё же больше барли чем руипа. Мощный солод, хмель. 4+

Drinkable for the abv, missing some of the toffee/raisin for a great barleywine

The first of the bottle shop series. Very interesting. Almost like a sweet, hoppy, ale

Different from other Barleywines I have had. Not sure, flavors melt together. A little hops, a little malt.

This is definitely an American Barleywine! It starts out malty, sweet, molasses & caramel for a moment, but is quickly replaced by a very piney hoppy flavor that lingers and lingers. I personally prefer the malty ones. But this is ok too.

Pleasantly surprised. Toasty, malty sweetness followed by a nice bitterness that really rounds out. Strong but doesn’t seem boozy to me.

No Bells’ old coast old ale but at least these unindependent bastards tried a stab. New glarus’ turn I stank, ain’t bottled a barleywine statewide since thumbprints were unplugged correct?

Sweet malty aroma. Taste has caramel notes, hoppy bitterness and semisweet, slightly roasty malts. Medium-full body with a lower amount of carbonation. It's pretty good right now, and I'll drink one more, but the other 2 are going in the cellar. 3.75/5

I've always said that barleywine is my nemesis…this confirms it, it's so rich and boozy, but enjoyable
