Mouthfeel was quite light, slightly flat feeling. Wishing for more prominent, developed malt and/or yeast driven flavor. Hop bitterness is there, alcohol is present in the flavor. Leaves me searching for and wanting something more.

Boozy and bitter (maybe too bitter, like me). Not much roastiness.

Not sure that I agree on the style designation but what do I know. Still delicious as it warms up a bit.

On the hoppy side, but somewhat forgettable in it's flavor.

Peculiar. Wonder what it will taste like after a few years.

Whoa boy is this a good barley wine. Smooth and sweet and roasty. BWIL!

I'm not going to rate this. It's really harsh right now. I'd like to try this with a year or two more age.

Too hoppy for me! Bitterness is my primary tasting note

Very smooth for an 11%. Love the malt notes on this one. Definitely enjoying after a long day.

Bought a 4-pack about 2 weeks ago. Bottled 3/8/21 with an ABV of 11.2% & 75 IBU's. Darker pour that surprised me for a Barleywine. Some roasty light pine aroma. More coming out in the taste w/ some hoppiness near the finish that keeps this a lower rating.

Comfortably bitter smoothing out over the back of the tongue. I love barleywine

Some styles don’t need extra hops. Going to age the rest & see if these hops mellow out some. Doesn’t really drink like a barleywine.

High hopes for a good barelywine...but tastes too much like an IPA. : - (

The Malört of beers. Outrageously hoppy and audaciously herbaceous. A bizarre concoction.

Malty. Hoppy. Sweet. Bitter. Piney. Citrusy. Tastes much more like an IPA than a BW. It would be a nice IPA. It’s not a nice BW.

It's good but didn't read close enough. I was expecting a Barleywine but this is a Barleywine-style ale.

Hops as soon as I opened it! Malty and not very sweet. Warms you from the inside out!

More like a black IPA than a barleywine to me but still a great beer. I prefer more caramel & raisin flavors instead of bitterness in a barleywine
