Classic Gueuze (2022) Le Boss

Not the most remarkable gueuze. Maybe needs time.

Fou' Foune (2016) Le Boss

Winner of the night. All fruit gone, but plenty of funk, hay and Belgian peasant sweat. Truly delightful. Bottled 9/6/2016

Utopias Barrel-Aged 120 Minute IPA Le Boss

No IPA notes left. What we've got here is a boozy, raisin-y strong ale reminiscent of the early aughts. The Utopias barrel is indiscernible. Great drinkability saves the day.

Wake Up World Wide Stout Le Boss

All booze and heat, no substance or flavor.

Oak-Aged Vanilla World Wide Stout Le Boss

Not sure if 2016 or 2017 vintage, but a beautiful brew nonetheless. Plenty of barrel and vanilla, syrupy-thick body. Ages well indeed.

Raison D'Extra (2018) Le Boss

Mistakenly opened this. Wanted to age 5-10 years to get it ripe and delicious. Right now, a boozy barleywine full of malts and caramel

Lambic D'Aunis 2020 Le Boss

Funky grape skin chewed by a black bear and regurgitated on a hiking trail. Vinousness + sweet notes of sugar around the edges.

Zwanze 2021 - Parasol Le Boss

Orangina + Cantillon = Parasol. Heavy on the citrus. Fresh, easy and forgettable like a summer fling

Camerise Lambic (2020) Le Boss

Berry galore, fresh flowers, happy cavorting in the Belgian countryside. Exhilarating.

Magic Lambic 2021 Le Boss

Lovely raspberry, late-summer fruit, table wine. Perfect tartness. Rustic and delightful.

Nath (2021) Le Boss

Pronounced tartness, fermented flavors, dry finish. Earthy and funky. Tad of white wine vinegar. Easy drinking

Big Worster Le Boss

This might be 6-7 years old... overtly sweet and syrupy, bordering gross territory. I don't think age did any good to this brew

Panther Cub (2021) Le Boss

Artificial-tasting maple and vanilla + barely any barrel flavor + thin porter base

Nemesis (2021) Le Boss

The Malört of beers. Outrageously hoppy and audaciously herbaceous. A bizarre concoction.

Más Agave Premium Hard Seltzer Grapefruit Le Boss

Not going to rate my first-ever seltzer. It's not my jam, but I'm sure there is an audience of skinny blondes and college bros for this.

Unraveled IPA (2020) Le Boss

Nothing juicy in this lamentable, underwhelming and mass-produced beverage

Kentucky Bourbon Stout (KBS) (2021) Le Boss

Freshly bottled, about a month old. Pungent, powerful coffee. Thin body, little barrel. Easy drinking for a twelve percenter.

Utopias Barrel-Aged World Wide Stout (2020) Le Boss

First had this in March and it was wonderful. Sharp barrel+ booze + chocolate. 9 months later: a watered-down brew that hasn't aged well.

KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge (2020) Le Boss

No maple, not a ton of fudge/chocolate either- but the coffee is tremendous. Very good, surprisingly

Kriek Mariage Parfait (2011) Le Boss

Rather delicious, still some good cherry after almost 10 years. But too gentle/understated compared to Mariage Gueuze. Miss that funk

Lou Pepe Kriek (2011) Le Boss

Stunning as expected. Deep ruby red color, funky-grainy nose and delightfully tart, earthy cherry flavor. I surrender 🙏 thank you JG!
