Give this one a few years on it and it could be a 5 for sure!!

This does not taste like a barely wine. I see the complaints with this one. Glad I only got one bottle.

Goût de très malt, malt toasté, caramel brûlé, pin, sucre brun, plantes médicinales en fin. Moyen amère.

That’s a strong one. Much more bitter and dry on the finish than I expected. Strong, yet not strongly flavored.

Beetje raar bier. Niet helemaal duidelijk wat het nou is. Beetje een hybrid Barley wine x DIPA. Heb betere gehad van Founders.

This is not good. Love ba barleywines and this one is a far cry from the good ones. Rubo hates ba bws.

Doesn't really come across as a BW. More like a porter or soft stout.

Founders is always makes my day. This is no exception. Indeed, a worthy Nemesis!

Not good. Bitter as all hell. No flavor profile really and no barrel

Lot going on high octane bitter hopped decent malts lil rough on taste but not awful considering the strength

The bitterness from the hops is a bit odd for a barleywine. That, combined with lack of barrel aging that I’m accustomed to from the Barreled Souls barleywines make for an odd flavor profile.

Mmmm, barleywine. Sweet, malty, roasted goodness right here.

Last night. More american BW for sure. Pretty easy drinking for the abv.

Bitter, but very malty. Almost brown ale esque. Can be a tougher drink, especially in the heat.

Souvenir beer. Going to cellar a couple to see what happens.

Pours very dark clear amber with a medium head. Nose: Malts, licorice, toasted bread. Taste: Burned sugar, ash, coffee, licorice - quite heavy bitterness end. Overall: A quite bitter, heavy - not sweet (barley) wine, but demanding and interesting.
