This is a beer I've been interested in trying for awhile and considering it's non barrel aged life it's something I haven't had much of recently. I really dig this and it should only get better with age. #BIL

Pretty good now; thinking it will be really good in a few years.

Black color with a light tan foam. Barleywine beer with heavily roasted malts. Hint of red wine and chocolate. Starts smooth and ends dry.

A tad too bitter overall but it does have a nice sweetness upfront and is obviously boozy! Thank you John!

Barleywine is definitely an acquired taste but at 11.2% you have to expect a punch. Get to da choppa!

Meh. Lacking any substance. Bland. Not sure how it's 11%. Tastes like a 6% porter

Apparently I just don't appreciate barleywines. Bleh.

Definitely needs that maple syrup barrel. Bitter malts scratched a rare itch.

Borrowed on 3/8/21. A lot hoppier than I thought it would be, a pleasant surprise for sure

I've had this once before about a decade ago, pretty wonderful

When the kitty's are curious, you know it smells like dessert.

Smoother than most in the style- bitter hops and chocolate malts lean this towards the bitter but very sweet end. An interesting but ultimately unspectacular beer.

First full barleywine I’ve ever had. Pretty strong, but not bad!

75 IBU barleywine. Sweet, roasty, molasses, with a lingering bitterness. Pretty rich stuff, it'll do.

Really enjoying the 11.2% & 75 IBU’s and roasted malts. After a winter of loving BBA stouts, this Barleywine is getting my attention! (Thanks to Brett for bringing it to my attention today!)

I’d pay $9.99 for a six pack of this. It’s alright but no where near as good as the original. The current price is asinine.

First appearance a stout. On taste, an immediate sensation of bright hoppy (almost floral notes) paired by the toasty backbone in mouth feeling and flavor. At the end of the sip, typically place holder for the aftertaste of alcohol, replaced by barley

Really good, but not sure this is a great example of a barley wine. I still dig it.

New series from these guys. Roasty flavors with a surprising level of bitterness for this style. And in case you’re wondering, siempre hace sol en mi cocina.....salud

Hoppy and thick. Not the best choice for this 80 degree day but still tasty.

I had already planned on drinking this but decided to do my rear brakes first. Well that was a mistake. And a very fitting beer... barely got one side done. Also this is really tasty and the ratings seem like people don’t like hoppy barley wines.
