Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS) (2017)

Stout - Imperial / Double Coffee

What we’ve got here is an imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolates, then cave-aged in oak bourbon barrels for an entire year to make sure wonderful bourbon undertones come through in the finish. Makes your taste buds squeal with delight.

Sipped from a Speiglau glass and allowed to warm to room temp slowly. Equal parts coffee and chocolate aromas, smooth af, but ends on a strong booze note reminiscent of a bourbon back (but... hwhy?). Worth the wait but one is enough.

It has lost most of the adjuncts. Very smooth. It would be fair to rate it.

2017 Thin, semisweet chocolate, no coffee, no smoothness, good bourbon notes. Was hoping for this to be rounder...

Decided to taste test 2017 and 2018 together. Flavors definitely mellowed out a bit.

Excellent! 55 degrees. Alcoholic nose, but hidden in the flavor with very slight warming. Chocolate, coffee, vanilla. Perfect balance

Might be one of my favorite beers I’ve ever had. The chocolate. The coffee. The smooth. 😍

Let these age awhile. They always age so well. All of the flavors just blend and become smooth everytime.

W aromacie wanilia, trochę beczki. W smaku lekka kwaśność od kawy, deserowa czekolada. Smaczne.
