Like an Old Fashioned in a beer. I'm a little partial. They call it a double imperial brown but the caramel, fruit and spice sweetens it beyond any brown I've had. Still goes down nice. Good call John.

Well if you want a mixed drink, have a mixed drink. This is a beer that tries to taste like one. The barrel is nice. Otherwise, this is a miss.

Not bad for a brown ale at 11% abv. Getting the fruity/orange peel and some vanilla.

Absolutely disgusting. I'd probably hate whatever mixed drink this is based on. Tastes like bottom shelf whiskey mixed with tons of orange syrup.

Aromas of muddled orange and cherry. Flavor is caught between a dinner club cocktail and a keg party tap. Of all the Old Fashioned inspired beers I've had so far, this is my favorite. I've only had a few

Aroma of fruit and caramel. As it warms up, the flavors of orange, cherry and caramel come thru, as well as bourbon, but not overpowering. Goes down very easy for 11%.

Very smooth. Solid vanilla, didn’t get much of the spice fruit. Enjoyable, looking forward to next time to compare.

Reminiscent of an old fashioned but not in a good way for me. I love beers and I love old fashioneds but they are better as separate things.
