Bottle Shop Series Highball Drifter

Brown Ale - American

They don't make 'em like they used to... or do they? The bottle shop series is a tribute to the folks who supported ragtag brewer's across the country when craft beer was in its infancy. when beer enthusiasts sought out innovation through big flavor, in your face complexity and revered quality above all else. This series is for you: the distinguished beer connoisseur still seeking the revolution that energized the industry we know today -- that settles for nothing less then the very best!

Bourbon is definitely up front. Aroma of orange and cherry but if the flavors are there they get buried by the booze

Pretty solid. More of malty goodness with a finish of BOF

Sweet cherry and orange, certainly tastes like an old fashioned! Bourbon comes through on the finish.

Got that cola bourbon thing going, with some sugar, candy, orange and especially cherry. Boozy warmness settles in near the end and hangs around. Still, goes down far too easily for a 11 percent ABV

Exceptionally smooth and subtle booze flavor. I really enjoy this style and the complexity of different flavors that come through is a refreshing take on barrel aged beers.

This is a nice ale, very complex in flavor. It tastes like Yeager meister Ale, but no black liquorice. A true expert level beer drinkers' beer.

More cocktail than beer. Boozy with a little cherry and orange.

Pours a clear dark brown with red hues, two fingers of khaki colored head, excellent retention, solid lacing. Aromas of vanilla, orange, and cherry. Flavor starts with orange peel and cherry, complimented by vanilla, caramel, bourbon, and earthy spice.

Caramel, spicy bourbon, and orange peel like an Old Fashioned. Flavor is caramel, orange and other dried fruits. Can taste the 11%.

I like this. Different. A bit fruity, only a bit. Good work on making a cocktail inspired beer!

So different than anything I've had. The orange peel is front and center. Also a faint boozy flavor. That's about all I've got.

Very unique beer, really didn’t know what to expect but very good. Very smooth with a sweet orange and cherry flavor. Hard to believe it is 11% ABV.

Pours a dark iced tea brown with a small tan head. Bold boozy aroma with notes of fruit and spices. Full mouth feel and warming sensation. Flavors of caramel, dried fruit, barrel aged whiskey and cherries. Finishes smooth with a lingering boozy aftertaste
