What we’ve got here is an imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolates, then cave-aged in oak bourbon barrels for an entire year to make sure wonderful bourbon undertones come through in the finish. Makes your taste buds squeal with delight.

Slide Release

Initial nose gives off some worrying raisin whiffs, but this fades away as I acclimatize. Taste is velvety smooth, dominated by a licorice base, laced with chocolate, some roasty notes and finishes with a lingering licorice/anis taste. Smooth AF. Yum.

Still an amazing beer! I loved it more in 2017 when it was "fresh" with more of the barrel notes. Now it is very subtile, smooth with a very low and light carbonation. Coffee, leather, vanilla, oak, fudge, dark chocolate, ash and cocoa beans. Love it!
