Bottle Shop Nemesis Release 01

Barleywine - Other

Is a barley wine style ale brewed with roasted malts and no shortage of hops for a pleasantly bitter booming flavor. Is pouring with a slight and subtle mahogany hue and a multitude of flavors that melt on your tongue - this one nemesis you'll feel good about keeping around.

Doesn't really have any barleywine character. Not a bad brew but not awful.

Boozy, malty sweet nose and flavors. Thick black and high carbonation. Ends in bittering hops.

Solid, nothing super remarkable considering the brewery.

Subtle blueberry in the nose. Feels dense, heavy. Sweet leads to bitter notes, slightly boozy. Lingering nutty, malty.

Barleywine brew with roasted malts, bitterness from the hops. Smooth mouthfeel, slightly boozy at 11.2 ABV but blended very well.

Gedeeld. Clear burned malt flavours, and a lot of hoppy bitterness in this barleywine. The combination of a strong hop base and burned malt works for me.

I’ve never had a hoppy and bitter Barleywine. I’m not a fan sadly. I do like that it’s boozy and malty though. The bitterness is just overwhelming.

My girlfriend brought this back from Michigan. I was actually looking at it a few weeks ago at a local store, so glad I didn't pick it up! This one is boozy as hell. Going through an old phone trying to find a photo and keep finding some funny shit!

From Sunday night. I remember it being good and easy drinkin’ for the style and ABV.

Barley wine van gebrande mouten met de duidelijke geroosterde smaak. Verder alcoholisch en een flink hopbittertje

Certainly smells of the percentage, but keeps things balanced with some raisiny sweetness. Hops add a bit of west coast bitterness for an interesting finish.

Strong toasted and molasses flavors with a nutty and floral note. Boozy/raisin aroma with a light lace. Dark brown color with a heavy body.

I don't get it, how does it say I haven't checked this in? This is the last one of the six pack I bought a month ago.... Weird. This is even a photo from my camera roll that I already took.

This for a barley wine is actually very good. Not overly boozy, currant notes, and smooth
