Lekker zoete eerste dronk, maar al snel een ‘waterige’ smaak. Lekker, maar geen absolute topper.

Een veelbelovende geur van koffie, noten, vanille. Heel jammer dat dit héél waterig is, en eigenlijk gewoon naar marshmallows smaakt. Zonder adjuncten was dit zoveel beter geweest, en eerlijker.

Coffee on the nose and in the end, not much vanilla, mostly a dark chocolate in the middle

This is exactly as the name says. And 1 is plenty.

Really suffers by comparison to Breakfast Stout. In particular, the coffee just doesn’t come through and the body is insufficiently robust. Ultimately, the bourbon isn’t doing the job either.

Soooooooooooooo sweet. It stopped being beer at some point and is instead some sort of starbucks drink with espresso, chocolate, caramel, and vanilla. Drink with dessert or by itself. Contains almost nothing i want from a brown ale.

Strong toasty aroma. Flavor Characteristics of roasted coffee & dark chocolate with a boozy finish.

Way to overpowering on the coffee, so disappointing with Founders on this one.

Has a nice toasty type beginning and sharp hard liquor finish. Back of the mouth you get the bourbon taste. Interesting, but a little heavier than I expected.

Tight carbonation and very sweet. Lots of vanilla extract. Not sure how this is a brown ale. Interesting and complex but not a favorite.
