Dit is echt een fijn aards bier. Koffie, aards, cacao, vanille, lichtmoutig, zacht in de mond, romig, zoet, medium body. Ik denk dat deze met een kwart van de lactose nog 3x beter is, wat een lactosebom.

Really suffers by comparison to Breakfast Stout. In particular, the coffee just doesn’t come through and the body is insufficiently robust. Ultimately, the bourbon isn’t doing the job either.

Fantastic Fathers Day meal w/ a delicious 2014 Monte Tabor Amarone Della Valpolicella wine, but it’s time for a little Velvet Rush and a siesta. Boozy smooth bourbon that’s a little sweet with a velvet mouthfeel to start. Bet it gets better as it warms.

Koffie met rare melkchocolade. Vanille iets en boozy. Eerste indruk is matig maar de bourbon zit er heel mooi in. Toch genoten.

Founders kills it with this fine interplay of chocolate/vanilla and coffee balances the barrel aging very effectively. 2 years old

Sweet in the start, coffee in the end, bourbon all the way. Smooth but sharp at the same time

Loads of earthy coffee in the nose. An earthy coffee flavor to start with. More sweetness and dark chocolate in mid flavor. Again the coffee in the ending and aftertaste. The bourbon is very mellow and really complements the beer instead of overpowering.
