Malts provide a slightly nutty/carmel background to a sweet vanilla flavor... borderline cloying sweetness... Bourbon is present, but subdued...

Very good for a brown but just can't mark this one too high.

Nose of bourbon & caramel. Pours deep brown, but not totally opaque. Robust head. Smooth mouthfeel. On palate, dark roast coffee & bourbon most prominent. Bittersweet chocolate, caramel noticeable too. Milk sugar complements nicely. Let her warm a bit.

Got more coffee flavor than chocolate, seemed to hide the chocolate too much unfortunately. Still a good beer just not exactly what I was expecting.

Bottled 7/29/21. Interesting taste. A lot to take in. Can taste the vanilla and creamy milk sugar notes. With a good mix of barrel aged smokiness and a decent alcohol tinge. Complex but good. Almost like a fine whiskey with less bite.

BFLN. I was pretty surprised at how light it was. I really thought it would be more stout-ish. That said, it's solid. Nice coffee notes. ABV is well hidden. Definitely more of a sipper.

This one features the flavors advertised, and does it in a smooth coffee forward way. Incredible product.

Is that velvet?? It is velvety, smooth, bourbon, vanilla, and a little coffee. Quite good. Quality.
