12% abv.🇺🇸 Pitch black color with mocha head. Nose is cinnamon and chocolate. Creamy mouthfeel with cinnamon, vanilla and some roastyness. Light sweet, coffee but needs a bit more fullness for this type of beer. Still very nice! LCI.

Een mooie volle smaak die het stout eigenzinnig maakt. De vanille, cacao en kaneel zijn duidelijk aanwezig zijn evenals het rokerige van de bourbon. Helaas worden deze smaken wat onderbelicht door de vanille die mijne inziens iets te veel overheerst.

Sowieso al een grote fan van de KBS/CBS serie van Founders en daar is deze bad boy geen uitzondering op! Een goeie toef vanille en wat kaneel maken het een heerlijk toetje.

Heel veel cacao in de geur. In de smaak ook veel cacao, koffie, kaneel en de vanille aan het einde. Behoorlijk bitter met een lange afdronk. Lekker, maar erg op de cacao.

Bottled 8.12.21: Not as “syrupy” as some KBS pours can be. Really rich cocoa body, sweet vanilla follows. I’m not getting a lot of cinnamon right away, but for sure as it warms. Decent, smooth BA character. Definitely a KBS, and a solid variant at that.
