Very hazelnut, from sniff to aftertaste, which dominates the barrel aged flavor. Still delicious and smooth, enjoyed this variant.

Yesterday at Best Brunch Ever. Actually a couvee of this, espresso, and vanilla cocoa variants. Cool idea to have a self serve couvee station at the fest.

glad I took a ride over to masons cellar cause this jem was in with the loose beers for $2.50 missed it when they were 6.99 while I was on hiatus.. they got in the 12 packs of mixed craft these were in a few ~happy tippling~

Wow. As usual with a KBS, I love everything about this. The aromas are superb. Taste is excellent. And the ABV leaves nothing left to be desired. Cheers to new jobs and new starts.

I've always loved KBS, but these quick-fire variant successions have left me wistfully remembering the annual release. None of them have been terrible, but have any of them actually been an improvement over the original?

Amazing aroma. Great balance between hazelnut and barrel character. Well worth your search.

Was mildly disappointed with this. Def has some hazelnut flavor but Def drinks a bit thinner than other KBS beers I have had. Bourbon note is mild and the hazelnut Def brings some astringency in the finish. Not a bad beer but expected more from a variant

Boozy. Nose is hazelnut. Has a decent bitterness to it. Not as good as I remember it. Perhaps a bad batch? I won’t rate it because of that. Finishes dry.
