Another unexpected disappointment from Founders. KBS used to be our favorite barrel-aged stout. This was not bad, but sort of flat.

Barrel aged hazelnut somehow makes me think of breakfast; they could've called this "boozy pancakes."

Great hazelnut taste with chocolate finish. Smooth but not much heat.

I aged this one for over a year, seems to have lost the coffee flavor from the aging, but the hazel nut flavors are still there.

Upfront smell is crappy hazelnut coffee. But taste is extremely roasty. Not viscous. Lots of hazelnut coffee flavor.

I rarely check-in a beer twice, but I wanted to revisit my prior review. I said this was barely recognizable as beer and tasted more like a boozy, hazelnut coffee. Those flavors are there, but I'm picking up more bitter stout notes this time.

Heavy hazelnut and peanut on the nose. Hazelnut and chocolate flavor. Unlike previous check in, it doesn’t seem overly sweet. A little chalky on the finish, but pretty nice.

Nutella in de neus, koffie en hazelnoten in het glas. Roasted, koffie, bitter, smeuïg, beetje bourbon, boozy, zoete chocolade achteraan. 🇺🇲
