someone tell me the science. why is it so much easier to nail the smell then the taste? is it just artificial? this smells BOMB hazelnut, and tastes just meh

It is breakfast stout so you have to have it before noon. Starbucks would double profits selling this.

Very tasty. At 37 degrees the warm booziness overwhelms the hazelnut, coffee & chocolate. Definitely drink at closer to 32.

So incredibly smooth. I get chocolate than hazelnut and very little boozy bite. Possibly the smoothest KBS.

So much hazelnut that it actually sort of overpowers the bourbon — at least in the aroma. There are flavors and aromas of hazelnut, chocolate, coffee, wood, vanilla, roasted malt, light bourbon and hints of coconut. Hides ABV fairly well.

Awesome brew for an exciting culmination of the EPL season. LFC 2/3 so far, let’s make it 3/4 for the treble. Up the Reds‼️ Seriously tho this beer is decadent 🤤

Lots of hazelnut and coffee. Not very sweet. Good balance

Pours black with a tan head that dissipates quickly. Huge hazelnut presence that mellows the barrel flavor. Heavy roast flavors creep up mid-palate, with coffee, chocolate, and oak rounding out the flavor profile. Superb! One of my favorite KBS variants.
