12% BBA Imperial Stout brewed with Hazelnut. This is very good! Another old friend, KBS, now adds Hazelnut to enhance the coffee notes, and it works! Now almost a dessert ale, it has the heavier body of a Stout, but not as heavy as a pastry. Decadent 🍻

The hazelnut is a nice addition but I can barely detect the barrel as per usual with kbs

In my Austin Powers voice “It’s a bit nutty.” Got better as I got deeper into the bottle. Big hazelnut flavor.

Barely any barrel taste. Heavily diluted w/ fresh product. Coffee a bit too bitter. Would be better w/ some shelf aging. Overall still pretty nice.

I hate hazelnut but love KBS. tad bitter than I like but hazelnut fans are gonna love it. Rated accurate for what it’s going for.

Love the aroma, but the Hazelnut is noticeably artificial on the backend of the taste.

Nice. May be my fave of variants. Lots of hazelnut, roasted malt, cocoa nibs, hints of vanilla and a little bit of barrel.

Not a hazelnut coffee person but good damn I’ll drink this all day. Great hazelnut coffee flav good chocolate on finish.

Not a lot of barrel, hazelnut is lovely though. Relatively dry, smooth, medium bodied, quite roasty, a healthy level of bitterness, fudgy chocolate, pretty nice. And the nose is spectacular.

The nose is amazing; roasted hazelnut mocha. Not a lot of barrel, but mostly a roasty oaked coffee. People hate on KBS now, but for the $, these variants are solid.
