Beer Church - as usual catchup - what you'd expect. Solid

Pretty boozy, tastes bitter to me. I definitely get pronounced nuttiness, though the bitterness knocks it down a bunch for me. Perhaps I'd like it more if it weren't the last beer I tasted. Heavy, robust, bitter. A bitter hazelnut coffee

Not getting much coffee. Decent, but crazy to think how far we’ve come when kbs was so sought after. Def much better BA stouts available all over now

Bottled 26 Jan 2022. She hazelnut alright. Tastes tingey. A coffee roast finish. Stout notes are lost in the hazelnut flavor. Hopefully will be better with aging. Not their best version.

Een bak vol hazelnoten, gesouffleerd door de koffie en chocolade. Ik weet niet welke afslag de Bourbon genomen heeft, maar heeft dit bier niet echt gehaald.

Hazelnut coffee stout aged in bourbon barrels… very delicious, wish it didn’t have artificial flavoring though…

Very delicious but the hazelnut is just a bit overpowering. Would probably be over a 4 with a little less hazelnut and a little more malt or something

LCI. Of hazelnuts and coffee: a little short on the finish

Remarkably dark, thick pour. Hazelnut easily first scent to hit the nose. Slightly smokey too? The thick mouthfeel and barrel aged quality both accentuate the hazelnut/coffee flavor, making it very bold. Surprisingly smooth finish.

I want to like this but it’s super thin. Flavor is there but falling short. Drinkable but ugh.
