This is basically a blushing padre with orange zest and cranberry added… and it’s amazing.

Even BETTER than the Padre -- that orange flavour definitely comes through along with the cranberries, and PERFECTLY accents the raspberry. This is fucking DOPE.

The tequila barrel is a nice touch to give this some zest. Very well balanced and fruity. Always enjoyed Blushing Monk, this recipe gives it a little more punch. Tasty.

Smell boozy fruit, cranberry and raspberry body, boozy sweet finish. Dessert bier for sure, lucky I have a 5 left of six pack.

Bottled 10-28-21. This aged pretty well. Tequila unfortunately faded a little...still there though. Strong raspberry flavor. Belgian yeasty. Full body. Sweet. Boozy.

Day 13 is surprising & complex. The base of Blushing Padre is good, but the added tartness from the cranberries, & it's trip through the tequila barrel was a definite bonus. Founders seldom disappoints.

It's a spicy Blushing Monk! I love it. It's also Day 11 of the Founders advent calendar. The bottle didn't have any description of the beer. I'm really curious to learn more about this one!
