Decadent rich boozy Jameson-like with a licorice and dry oak wood complexity. Sweet malts and a hint of port.

My daily ration of barleywine! This is actually super smooth for the ABV. Quite chocalatey and toasty, a dark BW. I maybe felt the body should have been a bit more thicc for the booze. Delicious though 😋 nap time on the bus down to Kalamazoo.

I like it, but this tastes like it has a 3+ years age on it.

Tastes more like a great stout. Smoothest 14.2% I’ve ever had. Caramelly goodness. Friggin incredible

Malty caramel...the barrel tastes more oaky than bourbon which is an interesting change of pace and keeps things from getting too sweet. Definitely an upgrade from the standard version.

Great barelywine. Not overly hoppy like many American Barelywines and not too sweet like many European Barelywines. Perfect mix of both. Lots of roasted malts dark fruits (dates)and barrel. Lovely.

The barrel is trying to sweeten things up, but the is still a strong, lingering, underlying bitterness.

This is a truly beautiful Barleywine. Roasty malts and a bit of milk into a a quick slightly acidic malt into a subdued malty booze finish. Another please!
