11.6% barrel aged stout. The color of chocolate syrup. Cherry scent and taste. The chocolate flavor and coffee notes hold it together. Dessert beer in the desert.

Interesting take on the classic beer. You really got to let it sit on the tounge to get the cherry and that takes away from some of the KBS greatest, but still a very solid beer.

De beste van Founders deze vakantie. Weer dikke bak koffie maar ook mooi zoet en zuurtje van de chocola en kers voor de balans. Verder ruik/proef je nog bourbon.

Like a bourbon-soaked cherry chocolate cordial. Overpriced at $24 for a 4-pack, but tasty nonetheless.

Slightly less bitter and alcohol flavor when decanted which makes it much more pleasant. Plus, the cherry goes a long way to improving it.

Dark chocolate. Cherry flavors are subtle and brings some tartness. Not too complex; wish everything was a little more prominent.

Dark. Opaque. Garnet edges. Rich, malty nose. Flavor includes chocolate and cherry. Coffee in the background. Full body. Finishes well.

The cherry is definitely there but there is less cherry than I was expecting. Not as much bourbon character as traditional KBS. Aromas and flavors of dark chocolate, cherry, roasted malt, oak, coffee and light bourbon. Hides ABV fairly well.
