Belgian Twist

Belgian Tripel

A Belgian Tripel…with a twist: this beautiful beverage is brewed with a substantial amount of Blue Agave nectar; heightening and highlighting the existing fruity notes and rounding out the sweet body of this golden straw-colored Tripel.

The agave seems to give a lemon/citric character. Interesting twist on the style.

I drank before I read the label. It's odd, but good. It gives me heartburn and a buzz. Curious...

Clear appearance with a toned-down Belgian character. Not bad.

Looks like a Trippel, smells like a Trippel but sweeter than a Trippel… not bad but not a “real” Belgian.

After the review I got from Dan H. I was fully prepared for this to be awful, but truthfully I thought it was decent. Agave is a weird thing to dump in a tripel, but the sweetness actually complemented the banana notes decently well.

I enjoyed it and the abv wasn’t overpowering. Just not much to distinguish it, to my palate, from the pool of other decent belgians.

Hop Hunter

Easy drinking with decent Belgian notes, some bubblegum, a hint of banana and plenty of guava. It’s as close as I can get from Sedona on National Belgium Day.
