If I blind tasted it I would have thought it was a doppelbock. But, I like doppelbock!

This is a great brew, I love when brewers think outside the box. This takes an Oktoberfest and ages it in bourbon barrels.. Its both crisp and smooth, I'm hoping this will be a hit and be available every autumn.

This reminds me of the grand cru spotted cow version of spotted cow. Oktoberfest with booze. I'm down with this. Might grab more.

This actually works pretty well. Very heavy barrel flavor but strong af. Not something you want to drink a stein of

A very good Oktoberfest and the BBA makes it great. Another fine Founders BBA beer.

Might need to head back to the CBC and get more

Super buttery. Drinks like an old school butterbeer.

Smooth caramel, vanilla, and a light oak char lends itself so well to the Oktoberfest style.

Carmel, toffee notes. I definitely getting some rum notes compared to bourbon notes.

Crackers come through in the malt along with boozy, caramel and cherries.

Bourbon and barrel dominate the lighter Oktoberfest flavors. No booziness.

Almost a cherry flavor with the barrel age. Malty, sweet.

Malt heavy aroma of molasses, bourbon, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, light coconut. Tastes like a slightly more carbonated old ale. Sweet malt bomb with touch of barrel & bourbon. Smooth for abv. I’d still prefer a Backwoods Bastard, but fun & tasty!

Awesome bourbon touch to this marzen. Really good, so going soft 4.25.

Hmmm...better than the first one I had the other day.

Damn Founders, nothing like their barrel aged beers, take a marzen, age it, make it 10% , big beer for a big glass! 😁🤤🍺👍
