Ultimate Oktoberfest

Other

Roll out the barrel…the bourbon barrel, that is! We’re taking the classic German-style Marzen and kicking it up a notch by adding the smooth, rich flavors that only nine months in a bourbon barrel can provide! Get out your Lederhosen and prepare for an intense wave of Bavaria Hysteria – Ultimate Oktoberfest is here!

I love this beer. Why don’t more breweries barrel age Märzens?

This one’s pretty special. Strong vanilla bourbon notes up front with smooth classic Oktoberfest on the back end. Unique ale, perfect for the fall.

This might go down as one of my favorite beers of all time. Right up there with Allagash Curieux.

Caramel and bourbon, deliciously effervescent. Crystal clear.

Bourbon on the nose. Bready, bourbon, vanilla notes. The barrel seems to cover up the beer, but still pretty good.

(FLN) I couldn’t find this anywhere in Monroe county, I had to go to the source for a four pack, wtf? I really enjoyed this one, it’s a delicious Märzen with a perfect amount of bourbon presence to really accentuate it.

It’s excellent. The alcohol taste is a bit strong but I’d be willing to bet if you let it sit a month or two it’ll mellow out

I think the barrel aging covers up too much of the flavor of the Oktoberfest itself. Not for me.

Not that I want my Oktoberfests to be over the top, but for what this is, it's super enjoyable. Malty, bready, not boozy at all, hints of bourbon/barrel, and incredibly drinkable. Nothing I can flaw it for.

Bitter finish is out of place, more like an old ale. Thin bodied for a 10% BA beer. Still, surprisingly not bad. It’s almost like there was a better beer here and it was watered down to bottle more. Wish Avery had BA’d The Kaiser back in the day.
