This one’s pretty special. Strong vanilla bourbon notes up front with smooth classic Oktoberfest on the back end. Unique ale, perfect for the fall.

I love this beer. Why don’t more breweries barrel age Märzens?

Smooth drinking marten with a hint of the bourbon barrel

My favorite seasonal style. Only enhanced by the barrel. A little sweeter than I expected but ultimately very well done.

Golden brown pour. 1/4” head. Light sweet aroma. Sweet, smooth, and bourbon.

Don't know how I feel about this one. Kinda like a bourbon malt...if that's a thing. Nothing really"marzen" coming through (other than the maltyness). It's good...whatever it is. :)

Tastes pretty boozy. This Oktoberfest is more for sipping than quaffing. Actually, it doesn't taste like a marzen at all. It's really too boozy to taste malty.

Found it in a bottle. Very nice bourbon flavor and aroma, smooth and malty.

Jak sie masz! I like you! Nice malty okto. The bourbon adds to the malt side of things and brings it right out in the open. Was skeptical, but will gladly down the other three during the okto season.

Sweet and boozy. The Marzen (even for being an imperial) is pretty obscured by the BBA process. The boozy heat is medium and the ABV is tolerable. A decent choice if you want a seasonal BBA beer, not something I’d celebrate Oktoberfest with, though.

Lovey caramelly note and a sticky sweetness from the barrel, which also appears on the nose - if I didn’t know any better, I’d have said this was #BIL (or at least life-adjacent!). Last beer of the Friday Oktoberfest tasting with Jonathan B.
