Pour looks like ice tea. Light off white head. Smells are light. First sip is sweet, light flavors, almost zero bourbon. Midway, more of the same. Light finish, smooth. Tastes watered down. Was expecting a more rich Octoberfest, got the opposite.

The surprising thing about this is that it drinks like a normal O-fest that has additional vanilla and more intense caramel characteristics(although it's 10%). Thoughts and prayers to any if this were served in a bier hall.

Subtle oaky, vanilla, and booze from the bourbon barrels. After sipping on this the Oktoberfest starts to come through with light biscuity flavor, caramel malt and floral hops. Initially wasn't sure, but solid beer for what they intended to do with it.

Barrel on the nose but don’t really get a ton until a slight aftertaste which is nice and light. Extra caramel for sure. Nice biscuit/malty flavor. Nice beer! Worth grabbing but don’t need a ton. Never know it’s 10%. Limited, felt like I had to grab.

A delightful imperial marzen style aged in bourbon barrels. This is a smooth, flavorful full bodied brew that isn't heavy, while coming in at 10% ABV. An easy sipper!

Reminds me a lot of Lexington's Bourbon Barrel Ale in its prime: light oak, vanilla, sweet but balanced with just enough malt

Not sure why it tastes bland. Most reviews seem to suggest it's more bold. Anyone from Founders wanna comment? Could it be a weird batch? For some reason, this tastes like flat cream soda :/
