I love Dirty, Backwoods, and 2019 French Toast Bastard. This isnt even close to 2019. This smells and tastes like it was made from bad extract. Cant believe Founders put their name on it.

Imagine a French Toast dripping with the strongest, sweetest Maple syrup, slathered with butter and honey. Way too sweet. I finished it, but only because I'm ornery that way. The other three bottles, however, will probably be given away.

Wow. I probably drink Backwoods Bastard more than any other beer. Was hoping for a faint overlay of maple/cinnamon on one of my favorites. Way, way, way too sweet. The syrup is overpowering. I don't even get a faint hint of the beer.

The flavors are nice, but I really don't like the bourbon barrel aged beers. They're too boozy and all I taste is the burning booze. The vanilla and maple are nice. So if you like those high ABV boozy beers you will like this!

Pumpkin night at the neighbors last night, one of the few drinks or food w/o pumpkin flavor was this beer- maple and cinnamon flavors but a bit bitter. Taste didn't improve even after letting it sit for a bit. Still a decent barrel aged stout.💪🏽🥴
